Troupe Information
Our Umprov Troupe is a collection of improvisors who perform in our shows, travel to comedy festivals, and collaborate with other school's improv groups. We hold auditions at the beginning of the year to pick 12-15 people who come to Umprov regularly and excel at improvisation! Each troupe member is then selected to perform in AT LEAST one of our shows throughout the year. To qualify for the troupe you must be a current University of Mississippi student

What is Umprov?
UMprov is Ole Miss' one and only improvisation troupe on campus. The name stems from the University of Mississippi (UM) and the shortened name improv, thus creating UMprov! Founded in 2021 by Leah Blevins (co. 2022) and Don Waller (co.2023), UMprov started out as a small gathering of a few UM theater majors every Monday and Thursday night. As of now, UMprov has blossomed into a bi-weekly gathering of current students, alumni, family, and friends! Our goal is to provide an escape from everyday student life and stressors. We want to create an environment that is open to people of all different religous backgrounds, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and gender identities. We simply ask that you come as you are, and laugh till you pee!
